Not Much New

Well, things have been busy as normal with not too much new. Our Friend Fran got a bit of an injury a few weeks ago and we are praying hard for him as he recovers. We're praying for you Fran!

Last night we went to a concert at the Giant Center in Hershey to see Jeremy Camp and Mercy Me in concert. It was quite good, but I always feel strange lately when I see other musicians in concert. Most of the time I was not able to enter into worship because I'm too busy analyzing the music and try to learn something. Its weird. After each band we (Fran, Tanyan, Brandon, Jaime and I) would evaluate and give pros and cons. Maybe this is what worship teams do. I don't think I ever met worship team members that really get into worship unless they were playing music.

Fran got a bit uncomfortable halfway through the concert and crutched away. I figure he was hitting the bathroom. We had floor seats in row 19 and even though Fran had an aisle seat, is was still rough to see and his leg was hurting (it hurts when its down for too long). So, he ended up in a seat up above the stands so he was able to prop his foot up and enjoy the concert.

Then, Brandon and I went on a Dippin Dots rampage. That's right a rampage. We were running around the Giant Center in search of Dippin Dots. We got 'em! (at a mere $3.75 per little tiny bowl). But we got too many and were not able to consume them all. I got some for Jaime, but she said they felt like she was eating razor blades or something. Very sad... the dippin dots didn't live up to the hype (I still thought they were alright)

But why at such a great concert did I stand there evaulating the quality of the music getting excited about dippin dots? Do I have my priorities screwed up? Maybe I just don't get out enough.

In general life is going smoothly. Work for me is steady and I've been able to work on some projects were we are making good progress. Jaime is getting pretty crispy (aka burnt out) with Spring sports. She keeps asking me if she should interview for the recreation job in Mechanicsburg. I think its one of those situations were you should knock and see if the door opens ya know?

Well, its time to go to bed. Jaime needs to wake up early for a soccer game in the rain. Yippee!

Lukesh Weekend

Well, although we didn't originally plan it, Jaime and I hung out wth Fran and Tanyan for about the entire weekend. We ate, drank coffee, jammed out at coffeehouses, and finished off the weekend with a matting party.

So you may ask what's a matting party? Well, we decided to purchase a mat cutter and split the cost. We tried to make some prints from recent photos we took on Saturday night, but Kmart didn't really have a good way of making prints (that and the machine didn't work.) We then tried at CVS, but their 1-hour photo was closed. So, we ended up getting ack together on Sunday to make prints at Walmart and buy frames. So, we got about 6 prints custom matted and framed which was pretty cool.

Worship at church this morning was awesome! Fran had the idea to do acoustic worship for the first half of the service which was different and brought a new mindset in the service. We finished up with some traditional worship which was pretty energetic. I ended up ripping the skin off my one finger from drumming a little over zealously. Oops. Overall and great service!

So, I guess I finally got something on the blog after a small lull. Thanks Brandon for your encouragement in your bloggin!
